I changed it again... its now due Tuesday, September 19, 2017...

Hello Dr. Quinn,
I just had a question regarding the problems for homework 1. Most of the problems have numbers to the right of them. For example, Problem 1: 1, 01–05. What does the 1, 01–05 exactly mean? Is it relating to problems in the book?

Hello Dr Quinn!
Have you posted the HW 1 solutions yet? it looks like there is a hw1 under the solutions section but no content.
Thanks, Matt
Hi Matt,
It's there now...

Dr Quinn, Where exactly are the HW solutions? Thanks
The Homework Solutions page can be found through the menu (on the right of the course page), and there is a link below the homework assignments. It is also here.

Hi all,
Just a reminder that there will be a homework quiz on Tuesday. I'll give you one of the problems from Homework 01.

For those of us who have a class directly afterwards should we come into class earlier or is that not to worry about unless we have an exam?

Hi Dr Quinn,

I'm having a small confusion with the solutions for problem 5. When computing the dot products to get everything in terms of theta2 it seems that the sign changes on the (j . i2) and it seems to me with would be positive sine since i2 is in the positive j direction. I'm hoping you can help clarify this for me.

Thanks for your help!
Matt
Hi Matt,
There is an error in the solutions . On line three the sign of the term in question is wrong, but is then corrected on the following line, so the final answer is correct.

Yes I see the error now, the double negative in the previous line does change it too positive.
Thanks!
Matt
